## ## Nokia C7 Preview

When the Nokia N8 was announced, Nokia had stated that it would be the only Symbian ^3 device, Nokia would switch to MeeGo OS after that. However, even the new Nokia C7 will run the same Symbian ^3 OS as the N8. The C7 is like a budget version of the Nokia N8. It has a lower resolution camera than the N8 but is much more stylish. It will be made of metal and plastic and is quite compact. It has a 3.5 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 360 x 640 pixels, the same as the one in the N8.

Hardware and OS

Even in the hardware department, the Nokia C7 is very similar to the Nokia N8. It has an ARM 11 680 MHz processor and comes with 256 MB RAM. However, it doesn have a 3D graphics processor like the N8. It has half the internal storage as the N8 8 GB. It also supports microSD cards up to 32 GB. It will have an 8 MP camera with an image capture resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels. It will have autofocus and a dual LED flash. It will also have an FM radio and transmitter but won have an HDMI out. The AMOLED display will be ideal for video playback. It offers GPRS, EDGE, 3G HSDPA, Wi Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP. It has microUSB 2.0 connectivity. It also sports a GPS transceiver with A GPS and Ovi Maps.

I, myself, would not consider it wise to invest in a Symbian phone at this point. Symbian may still be one of the best options in the low budget smartphone market, but in this price range, it best to get an Android phone.
